Insulate your Brain
Approximately 50-60% of your brain is pure fat.
The fat serves as insulation for your brain’s billions of nerve cells.
The better insulated the cells, the faster your brain sends messages and the speedier your thinking.
Eat a mix of healthy fats for energy and productivity! Here are few excellent choices:
wild salmon, mackerel, anchovies, dark green leafy vegetables,
or avocado.

The Magical Wind

Sometimes my day would be so hard and I just needed to take a breath..
and I would honestly think the world was out to get me,
so I'd go outside and just sit down in the grass and stay there waiting for my magician friend The Wind.......
Within no time he slowly sweeps in, blowing through my hair, sending it lightly floating backward, and against my face, a gentle touch...it was so peaceful, listening and comforting me... as if nothing could stop the moment...
It was as if time had stopped
and was just letting you have all the time you needed
to get through what was upsetting you...
The wind, an ally without you even having to say 'let's be friends' ,
a friend you never knew you had until you walked outside
and felt it blow against you...
the wind sends a warmth over you,
the wind nearly toppling you over just to make sure you knew it was there...
All the troubles you face in this world seem to just melt away
when the wind sweeps by you.
Listening, comforting, helping, and giving silently, the wind is magical...
Love Uncertainty

One of my teachers repeated, “Love my uncertainty.”
Uncertainty has always been very difficult for me to embrace. I like to know what’s going to happen next and I try to plan ahead as much as possible. But when I plan too much I don’t leave space open for Divine play. The embracing the unknown can feel scary, but sometimes this is the path we have to choose and follow.
In reality every day we awake not knowing what will happen to us. In modern culture, many things move along in a predictable, even manner. But when the unexpected happens we’re often unable and unwilling to look at the opportunities it brings. So many people said they changed their lives and moved to different, better places following the 9/11 terrorists attacks. Many moved away from Tokyo following Tsunami.
So far many of these people have felt that their moves were for the better and were really part of the Divine Invisible Hand moving them.
The moves made them slow down, some moved closer to family and others appreciate the moment more.
If you are in a situation of uncertainty -
looking for a job,
worried about a situation,
waiting for a mate,
always hoping for something that has not yet come,
- open up and look around.
Say a prayer of gratitude for what is and accept the future with all the twists and turns it may bring. Take a deep breath and smile.
Yes, smile.
Right now everything is okay.

Believe in the Power of Laughter

Being happy is like having a lucky charm, which attracts people to us,
helps us handle challenges and embrace opportunities.
Laughter isn't just fun and enjoyable, it's good for our health.
Each month modern medicine is discovering more about the therapeutic dimension of humour and laughter
and is encouraging us to add them to our daily life.
When we laugh we ...
- Alleviate depression;
- Lower our blood pressure;
- Promote relaxation;
- Reduce stress;
- Increase the oxygen level in our blood, giving us more energy;
- people enjoy being with those who laugh easily and often;
Laughter has been called social glue because it bonds us to the people we laugh with. .

Be your own BOSS
Enjoy your own company.
Embrace everything about you!
Without a doubt, it’s the most important step towards being a happy person.
Thoughts have power
Most of us find it difficult to MEDITATE. We have tried many ways but not happy with the result.
Meditation is not easy... it comes with practice. Have little patience and let us try it together.
When a situation seems sticky and troubling and you dread going into it, still the mind.
Imagine yourself, the people involved and the place where you will meet filled with pure, white light.
Visualize the light flowing freely in and let it fill those who you may have difficulty with.
If you feel resistance, acknowledge it and let it be filled with light too.
Practice this several times throughout the day or over a period of time.
Practice with patience, purity of heart and perseverance.
Watch how the scene transforms.
Use your thoughts to help and serve others and spread harmony and goodwill.
Count your blessings
Appreciate the small things in lifeLife sends you wonderful opportunities and wins all the time.
When you notice and appreciate the small things in life,
they have a way of gaining momentum and become bigger and increasing.
It is powerful to have an attitude of gratitude and to be thankful for all of your good.
No matter how challenging life may be, there is always something you can be thankful for.
Make your children practise this simple exercise and they will learn to face the world alone. It will give them hope and confidence in any situation. It is easy to teach them when they are young and that is the time they absorb your words fully.
Every night before going to sleep, write down your Win List.
Write out every good thing that happened to you during the day.
Even if it is something small, write it down .
Start looking for the good and acknowledge it consistently.
When you sleep, your mind will be focusing on all of your wins and on all of the good in your life.
The more acknowledge something, the greater it becomes, so your good will multiply.

a day without speaking.
Take five minutes, an hour, half a day or a week and keep silent.
Don’t speak. Listen to the deep quiet of your heart. This silence is always there beneath the agitated ocean of the mind.
Select a time & leave a note (if necessary) to family and friends in advance.
Shut off your cell phone. Turn off the music and TV and unplug the Internet.
Use the quiet time to observe yourself, your mind, and others. With practice you will come to look forward to these periods of silence as a retreat.
Appreciate the calm interior and the joy of turning inward towards your divine spirit.
You may notice that you have more energy after a day without speaking.

You deserve a better life

Choose a word that is sacred to you. It might be Love, Jesus, Om, Peace, Thank You, Truth, Shanthi, Abba, Sai, Mother. Select a word you love most.
Repeat the word or name silently to yourself. If you have an image associated with the word or name, let it arise and remain constant. Use this word to anchor your mind. This repetition can be done at home, in the office or in a challenging meeting.
No one needs to know of your silent repletion of this word except you.
